Open Day and Open Night

Monday 29 June

9:00am – 10:30am and 5:30pm—7:00pm

Parents/whānau and/or friends who may be interested in coming to Kahikatea Kirkwood Intermediate School in 2027 are welcome to join us on an Open Day and/or Open Night session. 

We are really proud of our school and our children, and we just love the chance to show what we do, and who we are.

Nau mai, haere mai! Let’s celebrate our incredible Year 8 ākonga and their fantastic two years at Kahikatea Kirkwood Intermediate School!
Join us for a special evening as we present cups and certificates to acknowledge their hard work and achievements.

Board Elections 2025

On 10 September this year parents and caregivers of our school community will be electing a new Board for the next three year term.

Timeline for our Board Election

Friday, 18 July – Call for nominations
Wednesday, 6 August (midday) – Nominations close
Wednesday, 13 August – Voting papers issued
Wednesday, 10 September (closes 4pm) – Election Day
Wednesday, 17 September – New board takes office

Our electoral roll is made up of caregivers of current students and caregivers of Year 6 students from our contributing school.

We have appointed Schooled Election Pilot as our returning officer for our board elections.

If we have your email address, you will receive election information from noreply@electionpilot.nz.

If we only have a physical address, you will receive paper based information from Election Pilot in the post.

 

 

2026 Enrolment Applications

2026 Enrolments
We are accepting 2026 enrolment applications until 31 August 2025.
Enrolment applications will be subject to being in-zone or by winning a place through our out-of-zone applications.
Out-of-zone enrolment applications are certainly welcome. We envisage accepting the majority of out-of-zone enrolments so please do not be put off applying. The Board have determined that 140 Year 7 and 30 Year 8 places are likely to be available for out-of-zone students for 2026.
