Enrolments for 2027

We are accepting 2027 enrolment applications until 31 August 2026.
Enrolment applications will be subject to being in-zone or by winning a place through our out-of-zone applications. The Board has determined that 140 Year 7 places are likely to be available for out-of-zone students next year (2027).
Out-of-zone enrolment applications are certainly welcome. We envisage accepting the majority of out-of-zone enrolments so please do not be put off applying.
Please  complete an online enrolment application and email copies of the required documentation (as listed on the Enrolment Form) to the school office.

Open Day/Open Night Monday 29 June

Open Day and Open Night

Monday 29 June

9:00am – 10:30am and 5:30pm—7:00pm

Parents/whānau and/or friends who may be interested in coming to Kahikatea Kirkwood Intermediate School in 2027 are welcome to join us on an Open Day and/or Open Night session. 

We are really proud of our school and our children, and we just love the chance to show what we do, and who we are.

Te Tiriti o Waitangi

In response to the recent Government announcement regarding changes to the requirement for school boards to give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the Kahikatea Kirkwood School Board is sharing the following message:

The Kahikatea Kirkwood Intermediate School Board wishes to assure our community of our unwavering commitment to continue to give effect to the Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Te Tiriti will continue to guide the strategic direction of our school.  We have a long-standing commitment to reflecting the principles of Te Tiriti and this mahi (work) is an essential part of the positive Kahikatea Kirkwood Intermediate experience for our staff, students and community.

We value the relationship and support of our mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, while we continue to develop our cultural narrative.  We remain committed to creating a positive school environment where every student feels supported and empowered to achieve their best.
