Buddies for Kirkwood Kid for a Morning: Please remember that you need to look after your buddy at morning tea. This may include you changing your normal activities to suit what they would like to do. Also please show them the bathrooms. These students are planning on attending Kirkwood next year. This is a great opportunity for them to see what it is like at an intermediate and help them feel confident in moving into next year. Thanks for all your help in representing Kirkwood proudly! |

Mainland Pouakai Tickets: I have 10 tickets to giveaway to the Mainland Pouakai game on Friday 6 December. First in first served to those girls that have played basketball for the school this year (come and see me). These tickets have kindly been given to us from the Wharenui Gators Club. Please only take these tickets if you know you can go to the game – it was disappointing to hear that some students that have received tickets in the past have not used them. Cheers, Mr. Botting. |
Girls’ Cricket Opportunity: In the coming weeks we’ll have Canterbury Cricket coming in for the “Yeah! Girls” Cricket sessions. Whether you’ve played before or never at all – It’s all about giving it a go and getting stuck in. If this sounds like you, then sign up outside the library! Colour Run Prizes: This opens next Monday for ordering. Want to be slimed?? The class that gets the most NEW colour run donations this week (until Sunday 6pm ) will get the opportunity to slime a student in that class who is actively fundraising and nominated themselves to be slimed Remember it’s a four day weekend so great opportunity to resend the fundraising link to friends and family |
Boys’ Cricket Tournament: Thanks to those who came to the meeting last week. The tournament is in week 7. With trainings – it’s going to be hard with Yr7 touch tournament, so we’ll try and have a practice everyday next week (including Wednesday this week). To make it easier with gear etc. we’ll play with soft balls, but note that you’ll be using hard balls for the tournament. Bring any gear you require. Year 7 Touch Tournament: First round of games start today at lunchtime! Remember your PE gear if your class is playing. Year 8 referees – please have a look at the week’s fixtures below to see when you are needed. Tohu will be given out by referees to those who are showing amazing sportsmanship.
