      Week Three, Term Three

I do hope you are all warm and enjoying the snow. Are you bored yet? Here’s some ideas to fill your time. How about completing some science experiments -what happens if you mix some salt with your snow and place it in the freezer? Compare it to the same amount without salt – any difference – leave it for a while and observe any changes…. maybe you could complete your homework for the week! Basic facts requires attention – this is a great time to concentrate on those ones that you just keep getting wrong….
I hope to see you Wednesday – depending on the weather condition.

Keep warm and enjoy the snow

      Cheers Mrs C

      Term Four – Week Three
I was really lucky to attend the Jump Jam Competion at Burnside High, on Saturday. Wow, our team really looked amazing. The team gained second place in their category – what an achievement. Room 5 students – Rosalie and Jessica, brilliant skills and commitment.

Countdown to our camp at Purau Bay. Only one week to go – I do hope you have checked the recommended gear/equipment list. At present the weather is amazing – let’s hope it stays around for a few weeks. We will be able to enjoy the beach and swimming….

      Cheers Mrs C

    Week Ten, Term One

We are completing Parent/Teacher Interviews this Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and into the evenings. Please do not forget that we will be having a shared lunch on Friday. This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate the time that Tabea has been with us in room 5. Sadly her family will soon be returning to Germany.

Wasn’t it great getting an extra hour on Sunday morning!!

We have now used all the water that Jessica’s dad kindly donated – hence please do not forget to bring your drinking water from home.

    Cheers Paula Campbell

See you back at school.

End of Week 3, Term Two
Cross country is over for another year – well done to all room 5 students who participated – great to see a couple of your names up in the top ten. Just an idea – don’t waste the time and effort that you put in to your training for the race – why not keep up with the training sessions? You all commented to me on how much better you felt for the exercise! As I mentioned… just an idea.

On a brighter side – this coming week we will be starting our new Science topic…. fizzing and foaming….
