Chickenpox message

Week 10 Wednesday 4 July –
Updated message re: Chickenpox
Following on from our message below, we have since had confirmed that our student does not have Chickenpox and if you have read in the newspaper that Kirkwood has an outbreak then this is incorrect. We did not have anything to do with the newspaper article.

Week 9 Thursday 28 June

One of our students has come down with chickenpox this week so please keep an eye out for this illness.

Usually a rash of chickenpox develops in groups with raised red spots arriving first, progressing to blisters filled with clear fluid, like a drop of water on red skin. The blisters may be dimpled in the center. They may break and reform, then finally form sores before drying up as scabs or crusts.

If you have any concerns please contact your medical centre.
